mmmmm Beer!

We all know the noble words that Benjamin Franklin spoke back in the day…”Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.” Well this beer is proof that God loves us and this earth as well.
It’s the Organic Amber Ale from Squatters, a local brewer here in Utah. I tried it out for the first time a few months ago and I must say, a damn tasty beer.
Just a sidenote on my beer tastes. There are a couple lagers that I like, but mainly I stick to the darker “micro-brews” with Guiness standing atop my list.
I am not a professional beer taster of any sort, I just taste the beer and if I like it, I like it. Generally they are a bit hoppy and bitter and this one fits into that category. Very nice and refreshing as they tell us, with a bit of hops. Oddly enough it seemed quite fresh. A great beer for these hot summer months.
Good beer is good beer, but I am stocked that there are brewers out there making efforts to put forth a more natual and organic product. For our bodies and our environment.
This was the first organic beer that I have tried but there are a few other brewers I have come across that I got lots of love for:
Uinta Brewing in Utah - Powered by 100% Wind. Love it + Great Beer!
Roots Organic Brewing in Oregon - Oregon’s first all organic brewer.
Peak Organic Brewing in Maine - Great brewer with even greater values.
Wolavers Organic Ales in Vermont - One of the first organic brewers.
Butte Creek in Chico, California.
Eel River Brewing in Fortuna, California.
So if you are ever along the Wasatch Front stop by one of Squatters three locations for an Organic Amber on tap. Also be sure to stop by Uinta and try great local beer and more importantly support sustainability.
For those who aren’t local, getting these beers shouldn’t be that difficult. During my time in California I was able to get lots of beers at BevMo. So check with your local beer/spirit/state liquor store to see if they carry it or most of the time they can order it for ya.
Cheers!
